Privacy Policy

This policy explains how the community-run r/btechtards job board handles information when you browse the site or use an account.
Information we collect
When you sign in with Google, we receive your email address and basic profile details needed to create and secure your account. We also store profile information, jobs, companies, and application-tracking details that you choose to submit. Session cookies keep you signed in. Google Analytics may collect technical and usage information such as pages viewed, device type, and approximate location.
How we use information
We use this information to authenticate you, operate community features, review submissions, prevent abuse, troubleshoot problems, and understand how the board can be improved. Your Google email address is not displayed publicly on the job board.
Service providers and external links
Google provides sign-in and analytics, Supabase provides authentication, database, and file storage services, and our hosting provider serves the application. These providers process data under their own terms. Job applications open third-party employer portals; their privacy practices apply once you leave this site.
Sharing and retention
We do not sell personal information. We share data only with the service providers needed to run the board, when you direct us to, or when required for security or legal reasons. We retain account data while your account is active and as reasonably needed for security, integrity, and legal obligations.
Your choices
You can edit the profile information available in your dashboard. To ask about your data or request account deletion, contact the team through our Reddit community or Discord. You can also control cookies through your browser and Google account settings.
We may update this policy as the board changes. The effective date above will be updated when material revisions are published.
